Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's dad was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder along with her whole family relocated to Mendocino County in California at the age of seven. Ryder was only seven years old. They resided in an area without electric power. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was television. Ryder took acting classes when Ryder was twelve years old, in the American Conservatory Theatre. When she was 15, Ryder landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder was bullied at her high school. She hoped that the acting profession would change this. However, that didn't happen. But she continued to chase her goals. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder had a successful role in several films. In 1993 she received two nominations to win Academy Awards. One of them for her role as a character in The Age of Innocence.
