April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among a few women beach volleyball athletes that be able to do so. Ross teamed up together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and she also served as Klineman's personal trainer. Together, Kessy Ross was an ace in the world circuit, winning a world title in 2009. This duo went into winning a silver at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the group that could take home the gold. Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross competed for USC Trojans throughout her college the years prior to her professional career. Her time at USC was awe-inspiring. She was an All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of the Year when she was a teen freshman. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans get to the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss in her sophomore, but was still able to achieve the All-American award. During her final two seasons in the Trojans' program they won success by winning two consecutive national championships. For her part Ross established her status as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the top female volleyball players at colleges across the United States. Ross took a course in the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross didn't get to witness Ross achieve beach volleyball's top levels. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast when she was a sophomore in USC. She has kept her parent close to heart. Margie remains an inspiration both on and off at the beach.
