Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, teacher, and director of drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of a British father and an English-Turkish Cypriot mother. As a child, she appeared in several commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto to advance her acting career, eventually moving in Los Angeles, California, during the decade that followed. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at a Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in 2009. Anna has just recently converted to Judaism and married Seth Cooperman in Fredericton.
